This yellow climbing rose bush blooms every year on Mother's Day, which is so appropriate. A dear friend of my mother gave me a start of this beautiful plant more than 20 years ago. Her great grandparents had immigrated to this country from Germany and they brought it over from the 'Old Country' as they called it. It had been handed down generation after generation before coming to America. It grows wild without any special attention. It always makes me happy when it blooms, remembering my mother's friend and of course, my mother.
I worked in the field of advertising and marketing until my retirement. Now I am having fun just being an artist!
